Permission and data availability decide what is possible
A capstone in a school setting usually needs approval from your institution and from the district, and those are separate processes with separate timelines. Districts have their own research review, and some have a queue. Starting that conversation late is the single most common cause of a delayed capstone.
Scope is the next constraint. An intervention that needs a full year to show an effect does not fit a timeline that also has to contain approval, baseline collection and analysis. Working backward from the deadline usually reveals an implementation window much shorter than candidates assume.
Data availability is the third. Much of what you would want already exists in district systems, and getting access to it is a permissions question rather than a collection question. Confirming you can actually get the data before designing around it saves entire semesters.
