Most questions have two technically correct answers, and one of them costs more

AWS exams are built around trade-offs: cost, availability, operational overhead, security. Candidates who learn what each service does can still fail, because the exam asks which service you should choose here, which is a different question.

How the questions work

The scenario contains the constraint, and the constraint picks the answer

A typical item describes a situation and asks for the best solution. Two or three options would work. The scenario will have told you what matters, usually in a phrase like most cost-effectively, with the least operational overhead, or with the highest availability. Candidates who read for the technology and skim the constraint choose a working answer that is not the right one.

Learning to find that phrase first, before reading the options, is a technique rather than knowledge, and it changes results quickly. It also stops you being drawn to the most sophisticated option, which is rarely the answer when the scenario emphasizes simplicity or cost.

Underneath that, the exam guide for each certification lists the domains and their weighting. Studying evenly across services rather than by domain weight is the other common inefficiency.

  • The constraint in the scenario identified before the options
  • Trade-offs learned as trade-offs, not as service features
  • Domain weighting from the official exam guide
  • Hands-on practice in the areas that assume it

What the plan covers

For Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certifications

  • The exam guide, used as the syllabus it is
  • Core services and, more importantly, when to choose between them
  • Cost, availability, security and operational trade-offs
  • Scenario question technique, practiced deliberately
  • Free-tier hands-on work, scoped so it does not run up a bill
The line we never cross

Preparation only, and never the exam

  • No help of any kind during the exam.
  • No live questions, no recalled items, no exam dumps.
  • No sitting the exam on anyone's behalf, ever.
  • We do not access your AWS account or your employer's infrastructure.
  • We do not guarantee a pass, and you should be careful of anyone who does.

Exam dumps violate the AWS certification agreement and can result in decertification and a permanent ban. They are also frequently outdated, because AWS revises these exams regularly. Read the full policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cloud Practitioner if you are new to cloud or in a non-engineering role. Solutions Architect Associate if you have some technical background and want the credential employers most often name. Developer and SysOps Associate suit specific roles. Work backwards from the job rather than from the list.

For Cloud Practitioner, relatively little. For Associate level, enough that the services are not just names, because scenario questions assume you know what using them is actually like. The free tier covers most of what you need if you are careful about shutting resources down.

Because they would work, and the exam is asking for the best fit given a stated constraint. Read the scenario for the phrase that names the priority, cost, overhead, availability or latency, before reading the options. That one habit changes more results than additional study.

Quality varies widely and some are considerably harder or easier than the real thing, so treat a score as a rough signal rather than a prediction. Use them to find which domains are weak and which question patterns you misread, and check anything surprising against current AWS documentation.

Very. AWS revises services and exam versions regularly, and material even a year or two old can teach you a service limit or a default that has changed. Check the exam guide version you are studying against the one you are booked for.
