CompTIA publishes a detailed exam objectives document for every certification, and it is the actual syllabus. Candidates who study from a course without checking coverage against the objectives routinely find topics on the exam they never saw. Working through the objectives as a checklist is the single most reliable preparation step.
The other is exam strategy. Performance-based questions usually appear first and are worth more, and they can consume half your time if you let them. The widely used approach is to flag them, clear the multiple choice quickly, then return with the remaining time budgeted deliberately.

It depends on your role and where you are heading. A+ suits general IT support, Network+ suits networking, Security+ is the common baseline for security roles and is frequently the one employers name. If a specific job is the goal, work backwards from what it asks for.
