When should I use TCP rather than UDP?
TCP where reliability and ordering matter more than latency, UDP where the opposite holds, such as live audio or video where a retransmitted packet arrives too late to be useful. Assignments usually want the trade-off explained rather than a rule stated.
This comes up on Networking Coursework Support, where it is answered in the context of the work itself.
