Most RN to BSN coursework asks you to write about things you already do: leadership, community health, evidence-based practice, professional roles. The difficulty is that it has to be written in academic English, in APA 7, with scholarly sources, at a level of formality that has nothing to do with charting.
The second difficulty is theory. Nursing theory courses ask you to apply a conceptual model to practice you have been doing on instinct for a decade, and the disconnect can be genuinely disorienting. It is a translation exercise more than a learning one.
