What is the difference between action research and reflective practice?

Reflection is thinking carefully about what happened. Action research adds a stated question, evidence planned in advance, a deliberate cycle and a finding that could have gone against you. Reflection is part of action research and is not the whole of it.

This comes up on Action Research Support, where it is answered in the context of the work itself.
