Do I have to reapply to my board of nursing for a retake?

Usually not, if your application is still open. You do normally have to re-register with the testing vendor and pay the examination fee again, and your board then issues a new Authorization to Test. If your original application has lapsed or your board sets a deadline you have passed, a fresh application may be required.
